It’s 10:22 pm, I’m still locked out of my dorm, my blood sugar is so high that blood cells might as well be skittles, someone stole my book, my 14 copies of my script won’t print after paying $10 to do so & having the printer jam on the very first page, my leg is bleeding after tripping on the Norris steps and it looks like someone shot me in the kneecap because it was (& still is) profusely bloody somehow, I’ve been stuck in the same empty Norris room for 5 hours, I have nowhere to go to take a nap right now, I am immensely confused after receiving an email about what I need for my Econ major & am thus now really nervous about not knowing how to schedule my next quarter, my insulin pump isn’t working at all but I can’t access my dorm room to fix that, I missed the screening of Star Trek i had been planning to attend because i was too busy dealing with inefficient printing issues, I am TIRED, and I am NOT AMUSED

What do I do when it’s a springtime Friday night in college?

Get locked out of my dorm, fall asleep in the student center, write an essay all alone in the student center about how much my screenplay sucks/needs help, and fantasize about taking a long nap (after averaging 3-4 hours of sleep per night the past several days).

I really do want to go out, but I’ve chugged far too much ~~battery acid~~ energy drink ~~might as well be battery acid~~ for one day to warrant any more without living off of the stuff

I am so grateful this great guy walked me and my friend home and I wish he did this more often and I can’t remember his phone number and that’s making this really wonderful time hard to stay wonderful but he’s really wonderful and prom was wonderful!

As far as dreaming about death I believe it is probably rooted to some surpressed idea in the subconcious but I feel the reason i dreamt it at the time probably has more to do with stress and anxiety, or possibly a fear of losing something important alothough im not sure what. I agree that it is often related to a feeling of finality but in my case maybe just irrationally fearing death rather than any specific thing. thanks for the response

so, defeat, it sounds like, on a broader level. I hope you don’t have any pressing reason to be fearing death at the moment and an effective means of addressing your stress/anxiety. My inbox is always open if you care to vent any of that or ask anything else. I like thought-provoking stuff like what you’ve brought up. Thanks for asking it.
